Hafsah then quoted the verse:- Ibn Taymiyyah Abu Hurayrah who said that some people once asked the Prophet, peace be upon him, "O Allah's Messenger! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the full moon on a clear night?" They said, "No, O Allah's Messenger." He said, "So you will see Him, like that. Allah will gather all the people on the Day of Resurrection and say, whoever worshipped something (in the world) follow (that thing). So, whoever worshipped the su...

Fear for death as it separates from doing more good deeds

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُم   (A s-salāmu ʿalaykum ,  “May Allah's  peace be upon you ” ).    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm (In the name of Allah, Most Gracious,Most Merciful) Al-ḥamdu lillāh  (   الحَمْد لله ‎)  "All praise be to  God " One should not fear for death as it separates him/her from his/her loved ones, but for  it will separate him/her from  his/her GOOD DEEDS. Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported: the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Remember more often the destroyer of pleasures (i.e. death).” [Sunan al-Tirmidhee (2307), Sunan Ibn Maajah (4258), Sunan al-Nasaa’ee (1824) and graded as “Hasan Saheeh” Shaikh al-Albaanee] Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “None of you should long for death, for if he is a good man, he may increase his good deeds, and if he is an evil-doer, he may stop the evil deeds and repent.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5671, 5673, 7...

Amazing Advice!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُم   (A s-salāmu ʿalaykum ,  “May Allah's  peace be upon you ” ).    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm (In the name of Allah, Most Gracious,Most Merciful) Al-ḥamdu lillāh  (   الحَمْد لله ‎)  "All praise be to  God " I have never read something as beautifully written as this (I translated it from Arabic into English as best as I could - but not the same as the exceptional wording in Arabic subhanaAllah). It is an amazing advice by the great scholar, Ibn Al-Qayyim, please read: "A friend will not (literally) share your struggles, a loved one cannot physically take away your pain and a close one will not stay up the night on your behalf .Hence look after yourself, protect it, nurture it  and don't give more importance to life's events  than what they are really worth. Be certain that when you break no one will heal you except you, and when you are defeated no...

Gheebah( Backbiting)

Image
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُم   (A s-salāmu ʿalaykum ,  “May Allah's  peace be upon you ” ).    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm (In the name of Allah, Most Gracious,Most Merciful) Al-ḥamdu lillāh  (   الحَمْد لله ‎) "All praise be to  God " Sins of the Tongue - Backbiting Gheebah (backbiting, gossip) means that a person mentions the faults of his Muslim brother in his absence, which he would not like if he heard about it, when there is no need to mention them. When I say “mentions the faults of his brother”, this excludes cases when the other person says something to praise or commend him. When I say “Muslim brother”, this excludes the kafir (non-Muslim), for there is no gheebah in the case of a kafir. When I say, “in his absence”, this excludes things said in his presence, which is not called gheebah according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions. When I say, “which he would disl...

Protection from Jinns, Evil Eye and Black Magic

Image
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُم   (A s-salāmu ʿalaykum ,  “May Allah's  peace be upon you ” ).    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm (In the name of Allah, Most Gracious,Most Merciful) Here follows some information and fatwas (rulings) that have to do with the evil eye. We ask Allah to benefit readers thereby. The scholars of the Standing Committee were asked: What is the definition of the evil eye?  Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And from the evil of the envier when he envies.” [113:5] Is the hadeeth (narration) of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saheeh (authentic) in which it says that “One third of those who are in the grave are there because of the evil eye”? If a person thinks that someone is envying him, what should the Muslim do and say? If the person who put the evil eye on someone washes himself, will the water he used bring healing to his victim? And should he...

Jannah - The Paradise

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُم   (A s-salāmu ʿalaykum ,  “May Allah's  peace be upon you ” ).    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm (In the name of Allah, Most Gracious,Most Merciful) Jannah, is the place where the good and the virtuous will be sent. There exist all means of comfort, ease and happiness and all that one may enjoy. Everything, which one wishes will be available there.  The Holy Qur’an says: "There shall be what the soul desires and what delights the eye." ( 43:71) The blessings of Paradise are higher and better than those of this world. Neither one has heard of nor seen anything like them. There will be no discomfort there. He who enters paradise will have eternal life and will stay there forever. Paradise has various divisions, and everyone will be accommodated in them according to the degree of his good deeds and virtues. Ya Allah Ar Rahman Ar Rahiim Please let us be of those who on th...
