Too tired with all the household chores? …here’s something better than a servant for you!
via The Striving Muslimah
Looking after the house, the cleaning, the laundry and getting breakfast, lunch and dinner on table in time for the family is not a small task; and it can be very tiresome and at times, overwhelming to keep up with the daily chores!
Surprisingly enough, Dhikr can give you the strength you need to keep the energy levels up; such that you can do with Dhikr what you cannot do without it.
When the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alahi wasllam), Fatima (radhi allahu anha) complained about the hardship of serving the family, grinding corn and blisters on her hand, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) taught her an exemplary Dhikr, and said, “It is better for you than a servant!”
Imam Ibnul Qayyim writes in the benefits of this Dhikr, “The one who persists in doing this will find strength in his body that will make him independent of the need for a servant.” end quote, Imam Ibnul-Qayyim from al-Waabil al-Sayyib (p. 77) under benefit no 61, quoted from Islamqa
So, from today onwards let us all make this Dhikr a daily habit before we fall asleep;
- Subhan Allah, 33 times,
- alHamdulillah, 33 times,
